ANTONIO SIERRA PLATT
Antonio Sierra Platt self taught, started to focus on his artwork since he was 13 years old, growing up in Guadalajara, Mexico. He found himself artistically influenced by Marilyn Manson, George Carlin and Salvador Dali. And what really inspire him are people, our life experiences, how people behave in different ways and the inner dark beauty of our emotions.
While his art has been described as dark, intimate, seductive and romantic, he also does concentrate on themes that depict human resilience, human pride & ego and situations that are melancholic and sarcastic.
These themes interest him the most because we are not as aware about how to manage or express these feelings, especially when relating to other people. We try to avoid these feelings and expressions when it’s the inner self that reflects our truest feelings.
As a visual artist and interior designer, Sierra Platt also looks to create atmospheres, furniture and art objects to connect our moods and personality to our surroundings. As a personal goal, he wants to create a connection of compassion with his audience where people’s inexplicable feelings are represented by his art.
